Why Do I Have Dry Eyes?

This occurs when the glands that produce the oil that creates the protective tear film are not working properly. The gland function can become disrupted due to bacteria, excess oil, and/or other debris that has gotten into the gland and clogged it up. Without this healthy tear film, your tears cannot function properly to lubricate your eyes.
